The Team

Adele Peterson

Adele spent 18 years at Apple as an engineering leader on the most used Apple apps, during an unprecedented era of growth. She led teams that worked on WebKit, Safari, Messages, Mail, and AR/VR, and earned the title of Director of Engineering. Her code still runs today on billions of devices. Adele is an expert in developing easy-to-use, reliable software that works within ecosystem constraints. Her strength is quickly understanding a project or organization’s barriers, and helping people figure out the best way to move towards long-term goals.

Carl Peterson

Carl is a mechanical engineer at heart. At Apple, he applied his skills to thermal systems, accessories, iMac, and iPad. Carl grew the iPad product line and team as Director of iPad Product Design. In 2017, he joined Tesla as Senior Director of Energy Products Engineering. For 4 years, he led the organization to design, manufacture, and launch Powerwall, Megapack, and Solar Roof. Carl stepped in to lead Residential Solar operations in 2020, delivering significant growth despite the COVID-19 operations impact. His responsibilities included all solar installations, sales, service, and the Tesla Energy P&L. Carl is also an instructor for the Climate Change: Learning for Action class at Terra.do, a startup whose mission is helping 100 million professionals transition to being part of the solution for climate change.
